About

A songwriter and performer for more than thirty-years, Bob has been on the road bringing his emotionally charged and lyrically astute songs to appreciative audiences throughout North America in venues ranging from coffeehouses,e.g. The Caffe' Lena (Saratoga Springs, NY), The Turning Point (Piermont, NY), to outdoor festivals and house concerts.

Bob performs as a soloist and with bassist Tony Markellis, and recently has been doing a quintet which includes Don Warren on guitar, singer Mallory O"Donnell, and Danny Whelchel on drums. On occasion, the quintet is joined by cellist Monica Roach, pianist Michael Roach, saxophonist Kevin Warren, and drummer Mitch Throop.

Currently Bob is in the studio working on a few TBA projects.

In June of 2006, KBW Music released "JOY" the debut album by Mallory O'Donnell. The album was produced by Bob along with Tony Markellis. The songs are truly a joyous mix of soul, jazz and pop styles written and arranged by Bob, and featuring a host of musical luminaries such as guitarist Chuck D'Aloia, trumpeter and saxophonist Bill Holloman, Monica Roach on cello, Michael Roach on piano and many other great players and singers. "JOY" has been receiving numerous glowing reviews. Go to KBWMusic.com for further information including Mallory's concert schedule.

In 2005 Bob produced singer/songwriter Gary Moon's debut album, "Orion".

2004 saw the debut of two dramatic works with original songs and music by Bob. In May "Greenwich The Musical" featuring more than eighty townspeople played for three sold out performances, and in July, "Passages", a music, narrative and dance piece about slavery past and present was presented as part of the annual "Journies To Freedom" underground railroad conference.

Highlights of 2003 include a cross country tour and co-writing ten songs for "Journeys To Freedom" a dance/music/narrative piece about the underground railroad.

2002 saw the release of "Clear Connection". Backing Bob up on the album are such notable musicians as Trey Anastasio (Phish), singer Hal Ketchum, bassist/producer Tony Markellis, singer/songwriters Michael Jerling & Rosanne Raneri, and keyboardist Richard Bell (The Band). Also in 2002 Bob produced the debut album of singer/songwriter Cara Satalino, and wrote a song,"That's What Christmas Is" for "A Saratoga Christmas" album which has raised some much needed money for the Make A Wish Foundation.

"Love Walked In", released in 1999, features twelve songs performed by Bob and his band. Sitting in for the sessions are a number of guests including John Sebastian, Richard Bell, Tony Markellis, Christine Adler, Michael Jerling, Cliff Lyons and many others.

"Live At Caffe' Lena", (Bob and his band recorded at the legendary coffeehouse) was released in 1997.
